Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation within our establishment, ensuring a welcoming and hygienic environment for guests and staff alike. Previous experience in hotel, hospitality, or janitorial services is highly desirable. This paid position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within a professional setting.

Responsibilities

Clean and sanitise guest rooms, public areas, and staff facilities to the highest standards of hygiene and presentation
Change bed linens, towels, and replenish amenities as required
Vacuum, dust, mop floors, and ensure all surfaces are spotless
Report any maintenance issues or damages observed during cleaning to the management team
Follow health and safety procedures at all times to ensure a safe working environment
Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies in good condition and organise storage areas efficiently
Assist with laundry duties when necessary, including washing, drying, and folding linen or clothing

Requirements

Previous experience in hotel housekeeping, hospitality, or janitorial services is preferred
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to high standards of cleanliness
Ability to work independently and efficiently within allocated timeframes
Good organisational skills and reliability
Flexibility to work various shifts as required; weekend work may be necessary
A positive attitude and excellent communication skills are essential for working as part of a team
