Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Chip Shop Fryer to join our busy food service team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality fried dishes in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities
- Operate deep fryers and other kitchen equipment safely and efficiently to produce crispy, delicious fried foods.
- Prepare raw ingredients, including peeling, chopping, and battering, ensuring all items are ready for cooking.
- Cook food items to the correct specifications, maintaining consistency in quality and presentation.
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including cleaning fryers, utensils, and work surfaces in accordance with food safety standards.
- Monitor stock levels of ingredients and notify management when supplies need replenishing.
- Follow all health and safety regulations diligently to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues.
- Assist with general kitchen duties as required, supporting team members during busy periods.
Skills
- Experience in food preparation or cooking within a kitchen environment is desirable but not essential; training will be provided.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures is advantageous.
- Previous experience working in a restaurant or fast-food setting is beneficial.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
