Job Overview

We are seeking a proactive and dedicated Property & Tenancy Officer (Supported Accommodation) to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will oversee the management and administration of supported housing properties, ensuring tenants receive excellent service and support. Your focus will be on maintaining positive tenant relationships, managing tenancy agreements, and ensuring properties are well-maintained and compliant with all regulations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of vulnerable individuals by providing stable and supportive housing environments.

Responsibilities

Manage tenancy agreements, including renewals, terminations, and amendments, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
Conduct regular property inspections to assess condition, identify repairs needed, and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
Coordinate the onboarding process for new tenants, supporting them through the tenancy sign-up from start to finish.
Provide up to one hour of one-to-one support for each tenant, keeping accurate records of all support provided, case notes, and outcomes on the database.
Identify and engage prospective tenants to help maximise occupancy across our properties.
Carry out regular property inspections to ensure homes are safe, well-maintained, and meet required standards.
Prepare properties for new tenants, making sure they are clean, safe, and ready for move-in.
Maintain accurate digital records by uploading and managing tenancy agreements, property documents, and other relevant information.
Coordinate property maintenance by liaising with contractors, arranging repairs, and monitoring work through to completion.
A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential, as the role requires regular travel between properties, meetings, and appointments.

Personal Specification

Experience in housing, property management, lettings, or supported housing is desirable but not essential.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with tenants, contractors, and colleagues.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage a varied workload, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines.
Experience in a customer-facing, administrative, support, coordination, or similar role.
A customer-focused approach, with the ability to provide professional, empathetic, and practical support to tenants.
Confident using Microsoft Office and digital databases, with the ability to maintain accurate and confidential records.
Ability to work independently, use initiative, and solve problems while working effectively as part of a team.
A proactive, reliable, and flexible approach, with excellent attention to detail and a commitment to high standards.
Knowledge of tenancy management, property inspections, repairs coordination, safeguarding, or housing legislation is desirable but not essential, as training will be provided.
A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential, as the role requires regular travel between properties, appointments, and meetings.
