Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Sandwich Maker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing a variety of sandwiches and ensuring that all food safety standards are met. This role requires a passion for culinary arts, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment. As a Sandwich Maker, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality food to our customers while providing excellent service.

Responsibilities

Prepare and assemble sandwiches according to established recipes and customer preferences.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
Assist in food preparation tasks as needed, including chopping vegetables and preparing sauces.
Engage with customers to take orders and provide recommendations, employing upselling techniques where appropriate.
Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during peak hours.
Conduct regular checks on stock levels and assist with inventory management.
Collaborate with team members to maintain a positive and efficient working environment.

Experience

Previous experience in food preparation or a culinary role is preferred but not essential.
Familiarity with kitchen equipment and cooking techniques is advantageous.
Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a busy setting.
Knowledge of food safety practices is essential to ensure high standards of hygiene are maintained.
Basic maths skills for handling transactions and managing inventory effectively.
