Due to continued growth, we are looking for another Translation Project Manager to join our Team. We are looking for an efficient and self-motivated individual, who will be able to ensure best in class customer service ensuring our projects are managed effectively for timely delivery through joint efforts whilst achieving outstanding quality standards within demanding timeframes and tight budgets.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Managing a range of new projects from initial enquiry to project delivery
- Providing project costs and lead times
- Planning workflows and deliver on time and within budget.
- Build translation memory for each projects
- Build and maintain relationships with Vendors and Linguists.
- Coordinate translator and workflow schedules, to ensure projects are delivered on time.
- Provide clients with project status updates.
- Drive use of machine translation systems to deliver maximise efficiencies
- Ensure Translators perform according to agreed service level agreements regarding time, quality, and budget.
- Implement and maintain a thorough QA process to ensure translations are accurate, consistent, and meet client specifications.
Skills and Attributes Required
- Proven experience in Project Management (minimum 2 years).
- Experience working within a language translation environment.
- Ability to estimate costs and manage budgets effectively.
- Strong project management and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple, complex, and remote projects simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently to achieve results
- Positive, professional, and adaptable approach.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Creative thinker with the ability to bring new ideas to the table.
The Ideal Candidate will:
- Have experience using translation and business tools (e.g. TMS, Trados, MemoQ, SmartCAT, HubSpot).
- Have experience working in a fast-paced, complex organisation.
- Be flexible and comfortable working at pace.
- Have the ability to build and maintain relationships in a professional manner.
- Be able to hit the ground running and get stuck into the role at pace and with minimal supervision.
- Be a team player but with the ability to work under own initiative to deliver to deadline.
- Have familiarity with translation management systems, translation memory, and terminology management.
- Be a tenacious learner and stay updated with technical knowledge
