This post requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/record. Works as a key member of the Clinical Management Team (CMT) directly supporting the Service Manager and Service Director in the operational and performance management of the Edinburgh Fertility Centre (EFC)

To provide comprehensive business management to EFC including to make recommendations to the CMT, and provide guidance to staff on, service redesign and capacity planning in line with the Division and NHS Lothian’s planning and modernisation agenda.

To manage and maintain waiting times in accordance with national waiting times targets and guarantees and to provide performance management (financial, planning and business management) support to the Service Manager, ensuring services are delivered within budget, that national and local targets are met, and that income is maximised. Manage departmental A&C budget including pay and non-pay.

To direct, control and manage the delivery of a comprehensive unified administrative support service to the service to ensure quality, effectiveness and efficiency of services within the established financial constraints.

To provide management advice and support regarding enquiries to the service from senior clinicians, senior managers, staff, patients, public, partner organisations, and senior civil servants / politicians.
