Responsibilities
- Assist chefs and kitchen staff with food preparation tasks, ensuring all ingredients are ready for cooking.
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen by washing dishes, pots, pans, and utensils promptly.
- Keep work areas tidy and organised, including cleaning surfaces and equipment after use.
- Help with the storage of food items, ensuring proper stock rotation and hygiene standards are met.
- Assist in receiving deliveries and storing supplies appropriately.
- Support the team during busy service periods by helping to manage kitchen flow.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe working environment at all times.
Experience
- Previous experience in a kitchen environment is advantageous but not essential; we welcome individuals eager to learn.
- A background in hospitality or culinary arts would be beneficial.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced setting.
