ABOUT THE ROLE --------------
We are a busy retail convenience store looking for a reliable and hard-working individual to join our team. This is a varied, hands-on role that covers the shop floor, stock operations, and local deliveries. No two days are the same — ideal if you enjoy being active and keeping things running smoothly.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES --------------------
Sales & Customer Service: - Greet and assist customers in a professional and friendly manner - Operate the till and handle cash and card transactions accurately - Merchandise and restock shelves to a high standard - Promote products and current store offers - Handle customer queries and resolve complaints professionally - Carry out opening and closing procedures - Maintain a clean, presentable shop floor at all times
Stock & Deliveries: - Receive, check, and process incoming stock deliveries - Rotate and organise stock in the stockroom and on the shop floor - Monitor stock levels and flag low inventory to management - Assist with regular stock counts and audits - Make local deliveries and collections using the store vehicle - Load and unload goods safely, following manual handling guidelines - Keep the stockroom clean, tidy, and well-organised
Additional Responsibilities: - Follow all Challenge 25 and age-restricted product sales rules - Adhere to health & safety and company policies at all times - Represent the store professionally with customers and suppliers - Support colleagues during busy periods - Report any security concerns or maintenance issues to management - Complete any required training as directed
REQUIREMENTS — ESSENTIAL ------------------------- -
Previous retail or stock experience is required - Aged 25 or over (insurance requirement) - Clean Full Manual UK driving licence required - Right to work in the UK

Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional manner - Reliable, punctual, and well-presented - Comfortable with physical tasks and manual handling - Flexible to work varying shifts including weekends
