Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting house goods annd office goods safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining excellent communication with clients and team members. This role offers an opportunity to utilise your driving skills while contributing to the smooth operation of our house moving service. Applicants should possess a valid driver’s licence, preferably with experience in commercial driving, and demonstrate strong organisational and communication skills.

The applicant must also be over the age of 25 and ideally have some level of experience driving a Luton van.

Duties

Safely drive to different locations (including long distance journeys) with clients possessions.
Deliver goods to various locations within designated areas, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.
Assist with loading and unloading the house moves, ensuring items are secured properly during transit.
Maintain accurate delivery documentation and communicate effectively with the team regarding schedules or issues.
Follow all health and safety protocols, including adherence to driving hours regulations and safe driving practices.
Report any vehicle faults or accidents promptly to management for appropriate action.

Skills

Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role, with a strong understanding of commercial driving requirements..
Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record; experience larger commercial vehicles is preferred.
Strong communication skills in English, capable of liaising effectively with clients and team members.
Good organisational skills to manage schedules efficiently and ensure punctual deliveries.
Ability to work independently, demonstrating reliability and professionalism at all times.

Pay: £12.71-£15.00 per hour
