We are a busy, friendly, and highly professional salon launching an exciting, unique role. We are looking for a passionate professional to join our team as a Head Spa Practitioner, Hair and Scalp Specialist.
This position perfectly bridges the gap between hair care, advanced scalp health, and holistic wellness, making it an ideal career pivot. You don’t need prior head spa experience—we invest fully in your development and provide comprehensive training in all of our specialized scalp treatments, analysis, and signature rituals.
Our Training Commitment: You will start on a competitive baseline rate (£13.00/hr) while you undergo our intensive, hands-on training. Upon successful completion and sign-off of your training, your hourly rate will automatically increase to our standard specialist rate (£14.50 – £15.50+/hr).
Core Duties & Responsibilities:
- Deliver Luxury & Targeted Treatments: Perform customized scalp treatments, targeted therapies, and holistic head spa services to create a deeply relaxing, rejuvenating experience for every client.
- Scalp Health Consultation: Learn to analyze scalp conditions using advanced techniques and provide professional advice on scalp care routines and retail product recommendations.
- Front-of-House & Reception Support: Help manage the salon's daily flow by assisting with client bookings, phone/email inquiries, and welcoming guests with a high standard of customer service.
- Maintain the Oasis: Ensure the treatment and spa areas remain clean, organized, sterile, and tranquil.
- Cross-Trained Styling: (For Beauty/Massage backgrounds) Learn and perform professional blow-drying and basic finishing services to complete the client's experience (no cutting or coloring required).
What We Are Looking For:
We welcome applications from two distinct professional backgrounds:
Path A: The Hairdressing Route
- Qualified to SVQ Level 3 in Hairdressing (or equivalent).
- A desire to branch out from traditional styling/colouring and move into specialized scalp care, premium treatments, and wellness.
Path B: The Beauty / Massage Therapy Route
- Relevant professional qualifications in Massage Therapy or Beauty Therapy.
- Excited to transition into the hair and scalp wellness industry (full training in blow-drying will be provided; cutting/colouring is not required).
General Requirements:
- Excellent customer service and communication skills (fluent English is essential for reception duties and client consultations).
- A warm, personable, and professional demeanor.
- Strong organizational skills to handle bookings and enquiries smoothly.
- A genuine passion for client well-being, scalp health, and the beauty/wellness industry.
