Lead Our Team
El Dorado Taqueria is an award-winning, family-run Mexican street food business based in Edinburgh. We bring authentic family recipes from Michoacán, Mexico to farmers' markets, festivals, weddings, corporate events and private functions across Scotland.
We're looking for an experienced, confident and motivated Street Food & Events Supervisor to help lead our team. This is a hands-on role where you'll be expected to lead by example, ensuring every event delivers exceptional food, service and organisation.
You'll work closely with the owners and, as you develop, you'll have the opportunity to take responsibility for running events independently.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the team during markets, festivals, weddings and private events.
- Set up and pack down stalls and event spaces efficiently.
- Delegate tasks and ensure the team works efficiently throughout service.
- Prepare, assemble and serve authentic Mexican street food to a consistently high standard.
- Cook on the grill and assist with food preparation when required.
- Take customer orders and confidently operate the till.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and professionally resolve customer enquiries.
- Monitor stock levels and communicate replenishment requirements.
- Ensure all food is presented to the highest standard.
- Adhere to all food safety, health and safety, and hygiene regulations at all times.
- Maintain a clean, organised and professional working environment.
- Represent El Dorado Taqueria professionally at every event.
What We're Looking For
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience within hospitality.
- Experience in street food, restaurants, cafés, catering or events.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to remain calm and make decisions under pressure.
- A positive attitude with a willingness to lead by example.
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Flexible to work weekends and travel to different locations across Scotland.
- Food hygiene knowledge is an advantage.

Typical Shifts
Most shifts take place on weekends at farmers' markets, festivals, weddings and private events throughout Scotland. Early starts and occasional late finishes are part of the role.
