Key Responsibilities – Deputy Nursery Manager

As a Deputy Nursery Manager in Edinburgh, your responsibilities will include:

Supporting the Nursery Manager with the daily operation of the nursery
Leading and motivating the nursery team to deliver outstanding childcare
Supporting children’s learning and development within the early years setting
Ensuring safeguarding and health & safety standards are maintained
Building strong parent partnerships within the local Edinburgh community
Supporting staff training, mentoring, and professional development
Helping maintain excellent standards across the nursery environment
Acting as a role model for best practice in childcare and education

Essential Criteria – Deputy Nursery Manager Edinburgh

To apply for this Deputy Nursery Manager job in Edinburgh, you must:

Hold a relevant BA Childhood Practice Management or Level 9 qualification relevant to Early Years, or be willing to work towards a Management qualification with SVQ3 or HNC qualifications currently in place
Have at least 2 years’ Deputy Manager / Operational experience within an early years setting
Have experience working with children aged 0-5 years
Have strong leadership and communication skills
Be passionate about delivering high-quality childcare and education
