Duties
- Greet guests warmly, present menus, and provide detailed descriptions of menu items to enhance their dining experience
- Take accurate orders using POS systems, ensuring efficient communication with kitchen staff
- Upsell menu items and specials to maximize sales while meeting guest preferences
- Serve food and beverages promptly, maintaining high standards of food handling, sanitation, and presentation
- Manage cash handling and cashiering responsibilities accurately at the end of each shift
- Assist with bussing tables, cleaning, and resetting dining areas to maintain a clean and inviting environment
- Collaborate with kitchen staff and host/hostess team to ensure seamless service flow and guest satisfaction
- Uphold food safety regulations and sanitation protocols in accordance with health standards
- Provide excellent guest relations by addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring overall guest happiness
Experience
- Previous restaurant experience in food service or hospitality roles preferred, especially in fine dining or nightclub settings
- Familiarity with POS systems
- Experience in serving, bussing, hosting, or food preparation enhances your ability to excel in this role
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
- Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices within the food industry
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic approach to guest interactions
- Ability to perform basic math for cash handling and order calculations confidently
