Seasonal Assistant Event Florist
Location: Workshop based (own transport required) 1 Northview, 17 Roddinglaw Business Park EH12 9DB
Start Date: Mid-Late August 2026
Duration: 3 months, with the opportunity to extend until the end of November for the right candidate.
We are looking for a hardworking and enthusiastic Seasonal Assistant Event Florist to join our team during our busy wedding and events season.
This is a hands-on role supporting our florists, stylists, logistics team, and props department to help deliver exceptional weddings and events.
Key Responsibilities Floristry Support
- Assisting florists with flower preparation and conditioning.
- Preparing containers, vessels, and event materials.
- Lifting, moving, and organising flowers and equipment.
Logistics Support
- Assisting the logistics crew with loading and unloading vans.
- Helping prepare vehicles for event deliveries.
- Supporting venue load-ins and load-outs.
Styling Support
- Assisting stylists with venue decoration and event set-up.
- Moving furniture, props, and decorative items.
- Helping create beautifully styled event spaces.
Props Department Support
- Assisting with painting, crafting, and prop production.
- Helping maintain and organise event stock and props.
Workshop Maintenance
- Ensuring the workshop remains clean, tidy, organised, and safe at all times.
- Supporting the team in maintaining high standards throughout busy periods.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will:
- Be physically fit and capable of lifting and moving equipment, flowers, and props.
- Be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and as part of a team.
- Have excellent spoken English.
- Be reliable, punctual, and willing to help wherever needed.
- Have their own transport, as our workshop location is not accessible by public transport.
Working Hours
Working hours will vary depending on event schedules and may include early mornings, evenings, and occasional late finishes.
Shifts will not exceed 10 hours per day.
What We're Looking For
This role would suit someone who enjoys practical work, has a positive attitude, and wants to gain experience in the weddings, events, and floristry industry. No floristry experience is required, but a willingness to learn and get involved in all aspects of event production is essential.
