About RHASS
RHASS is Scotland’s agricultural charity and a leading voice for Scottish agriculture and the rural community. Founded in 1784 with the guiding principle of promoting the regeneration of rural Scotland, our purpose remains as relevant today as it was over 240 years ago.
We are a membership charity with a vision to realise Scotland’s agricultural ambitions. Through our work, we champion the people, businesses and communities that make Scottish agriculture thrive, while seeking new ways to preserve, educate and support the industry and those who live and work in the countryside. We bring communities together and invest in innovation, education, wellbeing and the environment to help create a vibrant and sustainable future for rural Scotland.
At the heart of our charity is a community of around 16,000 members. Through a range of membership categories, we bring together individuals, families, and supporters from across the agricultural sector and beyond. With a genuine care for the countryside, our membership enables our work to reach every corner of Scotland.
RHASS is also the charity behind the Royal Highland Show, held annually at our home venue, the Royal Highland Centre. As Scotland’s largest outdoor event, the Show celebrates and showcases the very best of farming, food and rural life.
By joining our team, you will play a vital role in supporting our members, delivering our charitable objectives and helping to shape a strong and sustainable future for Scottish agriculture.

We Empower – Seek out ways to support and uplift each other.
We are Resourceful – We sustain our charity through creative thinking, and integrity.
