Colinton Care Home, located in Edinburgh, provides high quality Residential, Nursing, Dementia, Respite and Palliative Care in a warm and welcoming environment. Set within spacious landscaped grounds, the home combines exceptional care with a supportive atmosphere where residents can thrive and colleagues can build rewarding careers.

Laundry Assistant Contract

£12.71 per hour
21 hours per week
Saturday & Sunday
Paid PVG, pension and uniform provided
5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Working as part of the wider housekeeping team, you will be responsible for managing daily laundry services, ensuring clothing, bedding and personal belongings are handled with care, organised correctly and returned promptly to residents. Alongside maintaining excellent laundry standards, you will help ensure laundry areas remain clean, safe and organised while following all hygiene and infection prevention procedures.

This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who takes pride in their work, understands the importance of consistency and appreciates how the smallest details can make a meaningful difference to comfort, dignity and overall wellbeing throughout the home.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards
Ability to manage laundry duties carefully while maintaining organisation and accuracy
Understanding of hygiene, infection prevention and health and safety procedures is beneficial
Reliable, hardworking and professional approach with pride in maintaining consistency and quality
Positive attitude and genuine understanding of the important role comfort and dignity play in resident wellbeing
