Due to continued growth, we are now expanding further across Edinburgh and the surrounding areas. We are looking for a confident, customer-focused Field Sales Flooring Estimator to help grow this exciting new area for the business.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who understands local customers, enjoys meeting people in their homes and knows how to turn warm enquiries into confirmed orders.
The Role
You will attend pre-arranged appointments in customers homes to discuss their flooring needs, measure accurately, demonstrate our range of carpets and flooring products, provide advice and close sales.
You will be representing Lazy Carpets & Flooring in a new growth area, so we are looking for someone who can build trust quickly, deliver a great customer experience and help establish the brand across Edinburgh and nearby locations.
Day to day, you will be responsible for:
- Attending pre-booked customer appointments in homes
- Measuring rooms accurately and discussing suitable flooring options
- Demonstrating products and helping customers choose the right solution
- Preparing quotes and converting enquiries into sales
- Taking orders through our CRM using a tablet
- Following up quotes and customer enquiries by phone and email
- Managing your own diary and appointments efficiently
- Building strong relationships with customers in the local area
- Working towards sales targets and reporting on activity
The Person
We are looking for someone confident, professional and personable. You should enjoy face-to-face selling and be comfortable working with customers in their homes.
The ideal candidate will have experience in one or more of the following:
- In-home sales or demonstrations
- Carpets, flooring or home improvement sales
- Furniture, kitchens, bathrooms, blinds, windows, doors or similar customer-facing sales
- Measuring, quoting or estimating for domestic customers
- Working independently in a field-based sales role
You will need to be:
- Confident speaking with customers and presenting products
- Sales-driven, organised and self-motivated
- Friendly, reliable and professional
- Comfortable using a tablet, CRM system and email
- Able to follow up quotes and manage customer communication properly
- Familiar with Edinburgh and the surrounding areas
- Able to work independently while representing the company well
Requirements
- Full UK driving licence
- Access to your own reliable vehicle
- Mobile phone
- Good IT skills, including tablets, email and CRM systems
- Previous sales experience is essential
- Flooring or home improvement experience is highly desirable
