Rainbow Nursery Dalgety Bay are looking for a Housekeeper/Cleaner to join our team to help support the daily running of our nursery.
The hours of work will be Mon-Fri 10am to 2pm.
Job Description
Main Purpose of Role:
To be a proactive member of a staff team who ensures that clean, hygienic and tidy standards are maintained at all times.
Main duties of role:
- To maintain and follow all health and safety policies and procedures at all times.
- To ensure that clean and hygienic standards are maintained at all times.
- To complete necessary paperwork that is involved within the role e.g. cleaning schedules/risk assessments etc.
- To develop a thorough knowledge of all the company’s policies and procedures; ensuring that they are followed and respected at all times.
- To ensure that all communication with the children, parents and the staff team is polite and courteous at all times.
- To share relevant information and ensure that information is passed on between you, the staff and the manager.
- To maintain confidentiality about all issues relating to children and their families; your own and other staff members issues and any other management or operational issues.
- Involvement and enrolment in company training courses to be undertaken and completed which may, at various times, be outside normal working hours**
- To attend all mandatory training sessions and workshops – as advised by the manager.
- To act as a good role model for junior members of staff.
- To carry out any other reasonable additional duties as requested by your manager from time to time.
- Smart appearance is vital to maintain the professional image of the nursery.
- To follow all manufacturers guidance on dilution and preparation on cleaning fluids.
- To follow the colour-coded system for mops and buckets.
- To use the appropriate cleaning material for specific tasks.
- To maintain infection control procedures at all times.
- To ensure that all areas of the nursery are kept clean, hygienic and ready for the purpose of which it is used.
As part of your role you will be required to obtain a PVG (paid for by the company).
