Job Summary

We are seeking an energetic and friendly Barista/All Rounder to join our vibrant team! In this role, you will be the face of our establishment, delivering exceptional customer service while preparing and serving high-quality beverages and food. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will create a welcoming environment that keeps customers coming back. This position offers a dynamic work experience where you can develop your skills, work efficiently under pressure, and contribute to a lively café atmosphere.

Duties

Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other drinks following established recipes and presentation standards
Assist with food preparation tasks, including assembling sandwiches, salads, or baked goods as needed
Ensure all food safety protocols are strictly followed to maintain hygiene and quality standards
Serve customers efficiently at the counter, providing friendly and attentive service
Maintain cleanliness of workstations, equipment, and dining areas throughout your shift
Manage cash register operations accurately, including processing payments and giving correct change
Support team members with general duties such as restocking supplies, taking inventory, and setting up for busy periods
Preparing the café for opening and closing
Creating a welcoming and positive experience for every customer

Skills

Proven barista experience with knowledge of coffee machines and beverage crafting techniques
Strong understanding of food safety regulations and best practices in handling food and beverages
Excellent serving skills with a friendly, approachable attitude that enhances customer experience
Ability to perform basic food preparation tasks efficiently and safely
Good numerical skills for handling cash transactions accurately
Effective time management to prioritize tasks during busy periods without compromising quality
Reliable team player with strong communication skills and a positive attitude
Can remain calm and organised during busy periods
Works well independently and as part of a team
Takes pride in cleanliness and presentation and has good attention to detail

Previous barista experience and/or hospitality experience is highly desirable.
