Part Time, Fixed Term Contract for 12 months (additional funding will be sought to extend)
15 hours per week, with flexible working hours to include Monday evenings, all day Wednesday and some Saturday mornings on a rota basis

Role summary:
As an Outreach Practitioner, you will play a vital role in helping to end rough sleeping across Plymouth.
You will be responsible for assessing the needs of women in Plymouth and supporting them into safe accommodation, accessing emergency temporary accommodation, advocating with housing services, local authorities and partner agencies, working within Trevi’s Community Support & Outreach Team.

About the Trevi service
As an Outreach Practitioner, you will work within our Community Support & Outreach Team setting.
The home base will be our Sunflower Women’s Centre.
Our Women’s Centre offers a ‘no wrong door’ approach, providing a single point of access to specialist support. We work with women facing poverty, abuse, poor mental health and isolation, helping them secure safety, rebuild stability and move towards independence.
About the role:
This role focuses on supporting women experiencing multiple disadvantage, who are homeless or at risk of homelessness whereby building trusting relationships will be essential.
What you will do:
- be responsible for assessing the needs of women in Plymouth and supporting them into safe accommodation, accessing emergency temporary accommodation, advocating with housing services, local authorities and partner agencies.
- work in collaboration with existing providers, the rough sleeping team and other outreach partners to engage with women who are homeless or facing homelessness.
- signpost women to Sunflower Women’s Centre for support and advice
What you will bring:
- Knowledge and understanding of the complex challenges faced by women in society
- Experience in Safeguarding Vulnerable Adult
- Ability to work flexibly
- Strong communication and organisational skills
This role would suit someone who:
- Is comfortable working in collaboration with existing rough sleeping services
- Can manage complexity and competing priorities
- Is reliable and professional
Safeguarding:
Employment is subject to an Enhanced DBS check; the cost of which will be reimbursed by Trevi.
