Full job description

Overview
Our client, a small manufacturing business in Paisley, is seeking a highly skilled Management Accountant to join their team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in overseeing financial management processes and ensuring accurate financial reporting for the 3 businesses in the group.

This is a varied role where candidates will be expected to deal with a range of responsibilities. This is a small, friendly company, so personality fit will be important.

Please note that this is an in office role.

Duties

Prepare and analyse financial statements, budgets, and cashflow forecasts using Sage 50
Process accounts payable and receivable transactions to ensure timely processing and accuracy for the 3 companies in the group
Monitor financial performance against budgets and provide detailed reports to senior management
Support month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries and reconciliations
Process all banking transactions, reconciling the bank statement to the ledger monthly as well as reconciling invoice factoring account
Administration of payments to suppliers and staff
Process payroll weekly
Process and submit PAYE monthly
Prepare and submit VAT returns
Reconcile credit card statement monthly
Liaise with HMRC as and when required
Collaborate with external accountants at the year-end and ensure all documentation is accurate and complete
Ad hoc admin duties as required

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Management Accountant or similar role within the financial services sector
Proficiency in accounting software such as Sage 50, Moneysoft, or equivalent systems
Experience in a letting business would be beneficial
Experience with accounts payable processes and general ledger management
Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
Relevant professional qualifications (e.g., ACCA, CIMA) are desirable but not essential
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively

Pay: £40,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
