Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Office/Accounts Assistant to join our team. This role involves supporting the day-to-day financial and administrative operations of the organisation, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all tasks. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for detail, strong organisational skills, and experience with recognised accounting software. Key tasks and responsibilities in the role will include
- Undertake filing and maintaining all computerised records
- Scanning of documents
- Assist the audit team with various audits throughout the year
- Checking Statements from Suppliers and dealing with telephone queries regarding terms, bank details and payment dates
- Process Credit Card entries
- Responsible for ensuring Supplier payment terms and bank details are complete and correct, updating where necessary.
- Assist with month end checks
- Other adhoc duties
- Work closely with the wider finance team to ensure accounts payable processes are followed accurately
- Process Purchase Invoices – Match invoices against receipted Purchase order
May lead to the following tasks;
- Assisting with preparing weekly payment runs
- Work in conjunction with HR for New Starter and Leaver details
Requirement and Attributes
· Previous accountant experience (preferred but not essential)
· Experience of Sage accounting software (preferred but not essential)
· Experience of Moorepay accounting software (preferred but not essential)
· The ability to understand documents and data and write clear letters and emails
· Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
· Organised and methodical
· Ability to work under own initiative
· Microsoft office familiarisation – specifically Word, Excel and Outlook.
· Attention to detail and accuracy

We are currently looking for someone who is available to work 20 hours, this may increase to full time.
Pay: £22,568.00-£26,437.00 per year
