An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Partnership or Salaried GP to join our friendly, flexible and forward‑thinking team at Fochabers Medical Practice.
Located in the picturesque village of Fochabers, on the banks of the River Spey, the area offers an outstanding quality of life with easy access to beautiful countryside, walking and cycling routes, and the nearby coastline. Excellent local schooling and convenient rail links within 15 minutes support both family and commuting needs.
We benefit from a supportive and well‑established multi‑disciplinary team including Community Nursing, Health Visiting, Community Pharmacy, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy and Mental Health & Wellbeing services, working collaboratively to provide high‑quality patient care.
Our practice has a list size of approximately 4,500 patients and a stable clinical team comprising 1 GP Partner, 1 Salaried GP and 3 Advanced Nurse Practitioners, alongside excellent nursing and administrative support. We offer a manageable workload, flexible working arrangements, and actively encourage the pursuit of outside interests.
The Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed GP who will integrate well within our team and contribute to delivering high-quality patient-centred care. The role is open to candidates interested in working 4–6 sessions per week, with flexibility available by discussion.
Person Specification
Applicants should meet the following criteria:
- Medical degree recognised by the General Medical Council (GMC)
- Full registration with the GMC and a current licence to practise in the UK
- Proven experience in general practice
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build strong rapport with patients from a range of backgrounds
- Well organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively while maintaining attention to detail
