Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Electrician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems across various sites. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical principles, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The Electrician will play a vital part in ensuring the safety and functionality of electrical infrastructure.
Duties
- Install, test, and maintain electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment in accordance with industry standards and safety regulations.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues using hand tools and power tools to diagnose faults accurately.
- Perform routine inspections of electrical systems to identify potential hazards or malfunctions.
- Repair or replace faulty wiring, circuit breakers, switches, and other electrical components as needed.
- Collaborate with project managers and other tradespeople to complete electrical projects on time and within budget.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, materials used, and inspections carried out.
- Ensure all work complies with relevant health and safety legislation and company policies.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Electrician with a solid understanding of electrical systems.
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as pliers, screwdrivers, wire strippers, and multimeters.
- Experience working with power tools including drills, saws, and cable cutters.
- Strong knowledge of electrical codes, safety standards, and best practices.
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in electrical installation or maintenance.
- Ability to read technical drawings and schematics accurately.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
