Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Childcare Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a strong background in childcare or early childhood education. This role involves providing high-quality care and support to children, ensuring their safety, development, and well-being in a nurturing environment.

Duties

Manage daily activities and routines for children in a nursery or childcare setting.
Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to foster a positive environment.
Drive initiatives that promote the emotional and physical development of children.
Implement educational activities that align with early childhood education principles.
Supervise children during playtime and structured activities to ensure safety and engagement.
Maintain records of children's progress and communicate updates to parents as necessary.
Lead by example, demonstrating appropriate behaviour and encouraging positive interactions among children.

Skills

Experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is desired.
Strong leadership skills to guide and motivate both children and staff members.
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining a calm and organised approach.
Knowledge of early childhood education practices is highly desirable.
A genuine passion for child development and the ability to create a supportive learning environment.
