We are looking for friendly, qualified and enthusiastic Childcare Practitioners to join our small Forres team!
Please note that the position is term-time only. Please read through the following details of the role before applying.
About You
Although childcare is incredibly rewarding, being a Childcare Practitioner can be an energetic and fast-paced role, so enthusiasm and passion for childcare are essential!
If you work well within a small team, and are comfortable working in a fast-paced, flexible (and sometimes messy!) environment, we look forward to welcoming you for an interview.
Qualifications
To be eligible for this role, you must have at least an HNC or SVQ 3 in a childcare relevant qualification. This is a requirement for the role.
Experience in the role of a Childcare Practitioner is essential - and more important is your commitment, enthusiasm and sense of fun!
All staff members must be registered with the SSSC and able to be PVG certified.
Additional qualifications in Child Protection, Food Hygiene, and support for additional needs are welcome, but access to online training opportunities will be provided.
The Role
Your duties as part of this role will be:
* caring for children aged between 2-5 years of age
* helping to set out and put away equipment and resources at the start and end of each session
* ensuring a secure, safe and simulating environment for the children in accordance with the Curriculum for Excellence and Realising the Ambition
* completing paperwork relevant to children's progress and achievements, including Progress Trackers and observations
* helping maintain the nursery's strict Infection Prevention and Control measures
* other tasks assigned by the manager
Hours
The position is for 20-30 hours a week, on a term-time basis.
Holiday Benefits
Hop Skip and Jump Nursery is open 39 weeks of the year and follows the same calendar as Forres Academy. All staff are entitled to 28 days holiday per working year, to be taken outside of term-time.
