Location: The Lion & Swan, Congleton
Salary: Up to £45,000 per year, plus TRONC (approximately £300-£400 per month)

Job Summary:
The Lion & Swan is seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager to oversee our thriving establishment, which includes three distinct venues: The Lion & Swan Lounge & Boutique Bedrooms, 'Radley & Co' Entertainment Bar, and AA Rosette Fine Dining 'Pecks Restaurant'. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving operational excellence, enhancing guest experiences, and leading a passionate team to achieve business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations across all three venues, ensuring high standards of service and customer satisfaction.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of staff, fostering a positive and efficient working environment.
- Manage budgets, including financial forecasts, and drive profitability through effective resource management.
- Collaborate with chefs and management to design menus and special offerings that align with trends and customer preferences.
- Implement marketing strategies to promote the venues and maximise occupancy and customer engagement.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, licensing laws, and company policies.
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.
- Monitor customer feedback and implement improvements based on insights gathered.
- Prepare and present regular reports on operational performance to the ownership group.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a General Manager or in a similar role within the hospitality industry.
- Strong financial acumen with a track record of managing budgets and achieving financial targets.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Passionate about delivering exemplary customer service and enhancing guest experiences.
- Flexible and adaptable, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Knowledge of food and beverage management and a solid understanding of hotel operations.
