Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our dynamic team, hourly rate to be decided by experience and competency. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating CNC Millers or Lathes and a keen eye for detail. This role involves producing precision components by interpreting technical drawings and specifications, ensuring high-quality standards are met throughout the manufacturing process.
OVERTIME PAID AT 1.5x HOURLY RATE AVAILABLE.
20% shift allowance applied on hourly rate
HOURS - MON-THURS: 14:00-23:00. FRI 11:00-16:00.
Responsibilities
- Operate and programme CNC Lathes or Milling machines to produce parts according to specifications - Preferable experience with ProtoTRAK, Siemens, or WINMAX control
- MUST have the ability to work independently, especially whilst programming
- Ability in working with fabricated parts that need to be machined
- Comfortable with working to times
- Familiar with high volume 1off jobs, creating machined parts for bespoke machinery or working with large batches
- Interpret technical drawings and CAD models to set up machinery accurately.
- Perform regular maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance.
- Use basic maths skills to calculate dimensions and tolerances required for machining processes.
- Utilise hand tools and power tools for finishing processes such as grinding.
- Collaborate with team members to improve production efficiency and quality control.
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Skills
- Proficient in operating CNC lathes or Millers.
- Strong understanding of tooling techniques and the ability to select appropriate tools for specific tasks.
- Competence in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Basic maths skills for measurements, calculations, and adjustments during machining processes.
- Attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work consistently.
