Job Overview
We are looking for a highly motivated, organised, and patient-focused Qualified Dental Nurse to join our friendly and professional team. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated Dental Nurse who takes pride in delivering exceptional patient care while supporting the clinical, compliance, and administrative functions of the practice.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the practice by providing chairside support, maintaining the highest standards of infection control and regulatory compliance, and assisting with reception duties when required.
Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during various dental procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available.
- Provide excellent patient care by welcoming patients, explaining procedures, and addressing any concerns they may have.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with relevant regulations.
- Ensure all dental equipment is properly sterilised and maintained according to health and safety standards.
- Support the administrative team with scheduling appointments and managing patient enquiries as needed.
- Communicate effectively with patients and colleagues to ensure a collaborative working environment.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay updated with the latest dental practices.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Dental Nurse role is essential.
- Strong understanding of patient care principles and practices within a dental setting.
- Proficiency in English is required for effective communication with patients and team members.
- Basic IT skills for managing patient records and scheduling systems are advantageous.
- Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
- A caring attitude towards patients, demonstrating empathy and professionalism at all times.
