Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Construction Labourer to join our team on various construction sites. This role involves assisting skilled tradespeople and contributing to the successful completion of building projects. The ideal candidate will have a proactive attitude, a willingness to learn, and the physical capability to perform demanding tasks in a dynamic environment. Duties
- Assist with the preparation and organisation of construction sites, including loading and unloading materials.
- Support tradespeople such as roofers, plumbers, electricians, masons, carpenters, and painters in their daily tasks.
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively under supervision.
- Help with the installation of roofing, plumbing systems, electrical wiring, plastering, masonry work, and fabrication tasks as required.
- Follow schematics and technical drawings to aid in construction activities.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Assist with site clearance, waste disposal, and basic site maintenance activities.
- Support in the use of scaffolding, ladders, and other access equipment as needed.
Skills
- Prior experience or knowledge in roofing, plumbing, welding, electrical work, masonry or carpentry is advantageous but not essential; willingness to learn is key.
- Familiarity with hand tools such as hammers, screwdrivers, chisels and levels.
- Experience with power tools including drills, saws or grinders is desirable.
- Ability to read basic schematics or technical drawings is beneficial.
- Good physical fitness with the ability to lift heavy loads safely and stand for extended periods.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail to ensure tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment while following instructions carefully.

Pay: £12.21-£21.99 per hour
