Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Fast Fit Technician / Tyre Fitter to join our dynamic team at HiQ Queensferry backed by Goodyear Tyres . The successful candidate will be responsible for efficiently fitting tyres, performing vehicle maintenance, and providing exceptional customer service. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop technical skills within a professional environment, ensuring vehicles are safe and roadworthy. The ideal applicant will have a strong mechanical aptitude, enjoy working with tools, and possess a proactive attitude towards safety and quality.

Responsibilities

Remove and replace tyres using hand tools and power tools with precision and care
Conduct tyre inspections to identify damage or wear, recommending necessary repairs or replacements
Perform basic vehicle maintenance tasks such as wheel balancing, tyre rotations, and pressure checks
Use mechanical knowledge to assist with minor repairs and maintenance procedures
Ensure all work is completed in accordance with safety standards and manufacturer guidelines
Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations
Provide excellent customer service by explaining work carried out and addressing customer queries professionally
Assist in stock management by organising tyres and parts efficiently
No weekend work Monday-Friday

Requirements

Previous experience or knowledge of vehicle mechanics is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and tyre fitting equipment
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling tyres and vehicle components
Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship
Good organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional attitude
Physical fitness to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks effectively
A valid driving licence is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential
