Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Registered Care Home Manager to lead and oversee the daily operations of our care home. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a comprehensive understanding of senior care, and a passion for delivering exceptional quality of life to residents. This role involves managing staff, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and maintaining high standards of care across all services, including dementia and Alzheimer's care. The successful applicant will play a pivotal role in fostering a compassionate environment where residents feel safe, valued, and supported.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the overall operation of the care home, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care tailored to individual needs.
- Supervise and support care staff, including overseeing recruitment, training, and performance management to maintain a motivated and professional team.
- Develop, implement, and review personalised care plans for residents, ensuring they meet health, social, and emotional needs.
- Oversee medication administration in accordance with legal requirements and best practice guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations, and standards governing nursing homes and assisted living facilities.
- Foster positive relationships with residents’ families and external healthcare professionals to coordinate effective care delivery.
- Monitor the safety and wellbeing of residents by conducting regular audits and risk assessments.
- Manage budgets, resources, and administrative duties efficiently to maintain operational excellence.
- Promote continuous improvement initiatives within the home to enhance resident satisfaction and staff development.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in nursing or senior care settings, ideally within a residential care or Nursing home or assisted living environment.
- Strong background in dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, and managing specialised needs such as medication administration.
- Demonstrable leadership skills with previous supervising or management experience within a care home or similar setting.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation relating to adult social care, including care inspectorate standards and other equivalent regulatory bodies.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to develop personalised care plans effectively.
- Compassionate approach with outstanding communication skills to engage residents, families, and team members professionally.
- Relevant leadership and management qualifications in health or social care that meets the registration as a care home manager. Pay: £32,500.00-£40,000.00 per year
