Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Supervisor / Coordinator to oversee and coordinate maintenance activities within our organisation. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise (preferred but not essential) and excellent organisational skills to ensure the smooth operation of all refrigeration maintenance contracts. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising maintenance teams, collecting all maintenance paperwork, all scheduling and assisting in contract planning, ensuring that all equipment operates efficiently and safely. This position offers an opportunity to lead a dynamic team while contributing to the continuous improvement of our facilities.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily maintenance operations, ensuring timely completion of tasks
- Lead maintenance teams, providing guidance, training, and support to optimise performance
- Oversee scheduled preventative maintenance programmes to minimise downtime
- Manage repair projects, including planning, resource allocation, and execution
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control system issues using schematics and technical documentation
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, work orders, and inventory levels
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations across all maintenance activities
- Collaborate with production teams to minimise operational disruptions during maintenance work
- Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance maintenance processes
Requirements
- Proven management and supervisory experience within a maintenance environment
- Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Extensive mechanical knowledge coupled with electrical experience
- Familiarity with schematics, technical diagrams, and control systems including PLCs
- Demonstrated leadership qualities with excellent communication skills in English
- Experience supervising maintenance staff and coordinating with multiple clients
- Knowledge of health and safety standards relevant to industrial or manufacturing settings
- Organised approach with strong problem-solving abilities
- Relevant qualifications in refrigeration are desirable but not essential
This role is ideal for a proactive leader passionate about maintaining high standards of operational excellence through effective supervision and technical expertise. Mainly an office based with regular visit to sites to attend meetings and check on-site works.
Pay: £36,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
