Event Coordinator (Part-Time)
Location: Blackburn (BB1 3BL)
Salary: £26,983.93 FTE (£11,513.14 pro rata)
Hours: 16 hours per week (includes evenings & occasional weekends)

We’re looking for a proactive and passionate Event Coordinator to plan and deliver inclusive social events across Lancashire and Greater Manchester.
This role is about more than organising events, it’s about creating opportunities for adults with learning disabilities and autistic adults to connect, build friendships and feel part of their community.

About the role
You’ll take the lead on coordinationg and delivering a diverse programme of social events, ensuring they are welcoming, accessible and engaging for all participants.
From choosing venues and supporting event teams, to promoting events and analysing feedback, you’ll oversee the entire event journey, continuously improving quality and increasing participation.
What you’ll be doing
- Overseeing, coordinating and delivering a regular programme of inclusive events
- Ensuring events are accessible and tailored to participant needs
- Supporting and coordinating Event teams
- Building relationships with social care providers and community partners
- Promoting events to maximise reach and attendance
- Reviewing feedback and data to improve future events
- Identifying and removing barriers to participation
- Sourcing and managing safe, accessible venues
About you
You’ll be organised, people-focused and motivated by making a difference.
You’ll bring:
- At least 12 months’ experience planning or delivering events
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Confidence working with a range of stakeholders
- Strong IT skills (including CRM systems)
- A proactive, solution-focused approach
It’s a bonus if you have:
- Experience working with people with learning disabilities or vulnerable adults

Additional information
- Some evening and weekend work is required
- Travel across Lancashire and Greater Manchester is expected
