Overview
We are seeking a versatile and dependable General Skilled Labourer/Worker to join our construction team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for hands-on work and a variety of trades. The successful candidate will contribute to diverse projects, ensuring high standards of safety and quality across all tasks. Previous experience in construction-related fields is preferred, but a strong work ethic and willingness to learn are equally valued.
Duties
- Assisting with carpentry, roofing, and masonry tasks on-site
- Supporting construction painting, plumbing, and electrical installations
- Operating hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently
- Performing fabrication work as required, including cutting, shaping, and assembling materials
- Assisting with the installation and repair of structural elements
- Maintaining a clean and organised work environment to promote safety
- Collaborating with team members to meet project deadlines and specifications
- Adhering to all health and safety regulations throughout the duration of each project
Skills
- Proven experience or familiarity with carpentry, roofing, or masonry work
- Basic understanding of plumbing and electrical systems is advantageous
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as hammers, saws, drills, and screwdrivers
- Experience with power tools including grinders, sanders, and drills
- Ability to operate fabrication equipment and perform basic metal or wood fabrication tasks
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Physical fitness to handle manual labour tasks over extended periods
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team
