- Drive transport network optimisation initiatives to improve service performance, fleet utilisation, route efficiency, and operating costs.
- Oversee route optimisation, transport planning, and operational delivery.
- Develop and drive KPI reporting frameworks to monitor performance and deliver improvements in service, utilisation, and cost management.
- Analyse network driver performance and fleet utilisation to uncover efficiency opportunities and enhance operational effectiveness.
- Lead driver recruitment and retention strategy, recruitment planning, salary and bonus structures, and performance management processes, alongside direct reports.
- Manage transport budgets, subcontractor usage, and fleet utilisation.
- Ensure compliance with Operator Licence requirements, Drivers’ Hours Regulations, the Working Time Directive, and Driver CPC regulations.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives across transport systems, processes, and performance.

- Proven experience in transport planning, network optimisation, logistics performance improvement, or transport operations leadership within a UK multi-drop distribution environment.
- Previous experience leading the implementation and rollout of new software systems.

- Transport Manager CPC (Road Haulage) desirable, or equivalent experience operating within a UK Operator Licence environment.
- Advanced Excel and strong BI tooling skills are required
