Role Overview
You will be responsible for the safe and efficient transport of agricultural products to customers and collection points. This will be flatbed trailer work delivering Straw. This is a hands-on, varied role ideal for someone who enjoys working within the agricultural sector and operating modern, well-maintained vehicles.
Key Responsibilities
- Safe, compliant driving of HGV vehicles (Class 1)
- Ensuring goods are secured correctly and delivered safely
- Completing delivery paperwork and maintaining accurate records
- Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting any issues
- Liaising with customers in a professional, friendly manner
- Supporting yard or farm operations when required
Requirements
- Valid HGV Class 1 licence
- CPC and Digi Tacho card essential
- Experience transporting agricultural goods or bulky loads preferred
- Ability to operate telehandlers or loading equipment is desired but not essential (training can be provided)
- Good communication skills and a positive, reliable attitude
- Awareness of health & safety and road compliance
- Flexibility with working hours during peak seasons (summer harvest, winter deliveries)
