Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Host or Hostess to join our team at Wisteria Lodge in Hampshire as part of homes expansion plan. In this role, you will be essential in creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for our residents and visitors, ensuring their dining and social experiences are exceptional. Your contribution will help uphold our commitment to outstanding care and comfort.
Responsibilities

Greet residents and visitors warmly, ensuring they feel comfortable and valued.
Assist in food preparation and presentation to meet high standards.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in all dining areas.
Support the catering team during meal times, ensuring smooth service.
Preparing and serving beverages and refreshments in residents’ rooms, lounges, and the dining room throughout the day.
Setting, clearing, and resetting the dining room for each meal service to the highest standard.
Maintaining HACCP records and ensuring all food safety and hygiene standards are upheld at all times.
Conducting daily stock checks and replenishment for the servery and satellite kitchen.
Supporting residents to enjoy mealtimes at their own pace, without pressure, preserving dignity and independence.
Covering kitchen assistant duties in emergency situations to ensure continuity of service for our residents.
Uphold food safety regulations at all times.
Contribute to creating a welcoming environment that reflects the home's ethos.
Collaborate with staff to enhance resident satisfaction and wellbeing.
Qualifications
Proven experience in catering, hospitality, or food service roles.
Excellent interpersonal skills with a caring attitude.
Knowledge of food safety standards.
Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is advantageous.
Friendly, approachable demeanor with strong communication skills.
Flexibility to adapt to the needs of the care home environment.
