We are looking for a Quality Inspector to join the team at Clinical Health Technologies Limited. (CHT). CHT is part of the CQC Group of Companies, including Quantum Turned Parts Ltd and Caress Manufacturing Ltd.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring the quality of incoming materials and outgoing finished goods for Caress and CHT. The successful candidate will maintain product standards and customer satisfaction by conducting inspections, identifying quality issues, and collaborating with internal teams and external suppliers.
Key Accountabilities:
Incoming and Outgoing Goods Inspection
- Inspect and verify that incoming materials (caps, bottles, studs, packaging etc) meet required specifications and are free from damage
- Document inspection results and maintain accurate records of materials received
- Conduct routine and random quality checks on in-process and finished products prior to shipment, notifying the Assembly Manager & Quality & Regulatory Manager of non-conformities
- Ensure products meet internal standards and customer specifications
- Complete tasks as delegated by the Quality & Regulatory Manager and Assembly Manager
Communication & Reporting
- Report quality issues and non-conformities to management promptly
- Prepare quality reports and suggest corrective actions where necessary
- Support the Procurement & Stock Specialist to communicate quality-related concerns to suppliers and follow up on corrective measures
- Support supplier evaluations as required
Health, Safety & Environment
- Follow health and safety requirements, as necessary in a machine/manufacturing environment
- Adhere to the Company’s environmental management system and actively contribute to environmental initiatives
Person Specification:
- Proven experience in a quality inspection or quality assurance role within a manufacturing environment
- IT experience would be advantageous
- Forklift licence would be desirable
- Able to use handheld measuring instruments including Micrometer, vernier and gauges
- Ability to effectively communicate across all levels of the organisation and between departments
- Great verbal and written communication skills for effective reporting and supplier interaction
- Good organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload
- Ability to work independently
- Understanding and interpretation of customer product drawings
- Understanding of quality control procedures, sampling plans, and inspection techniques
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management System
- Confident with making decisions
- Capable of working unassisted in a logical and methodical manner
Hours of Work:
- Monday to Friday 7.30am – 4.00pm
