Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Dispenser to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the accurate dispensing of medications and providing excellent patient care. This position offers an opportunity to work within a professional environment committed to supporting community health and well-being. Candidates with pharmacy technician experience and a strong understanding of medication administration are encouraged to apply.

Duties

Dispense prescribed medications accurately in accordance with pharmacy protocols and legal requirements
Assist pharmacists in preparing and organising medication orders for patients
Provide guidance and information to patients regarding their prescriptions, including usage instructions and potential side effects
Maintain precise records of dispensed medications and patient interactions
Ensure the pharmacy environment adheres to health and safety standards at all times
Support with inventory management, including stock checks and reordering supplies as needed
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimise patient care and medication management

Experience

Prior experience as a pharmacy technician or in a similar role within a healthcare setting is preferred
Knowledge of medication administration procedures and pharmacy software systems is advantageous
Strong commitment to patient care, confidentiality, and accuracy in dispensing medications
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Good communication skills, capable of providing clear guidance to patients and team members

Pay: £12.71-£13.50 per hour
