Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cafe Attendant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service while ensuring the smooth operation of our café. This position involves food preparation, maintaining cleanliness, and adhering to food safety standards. If you have a passion for food and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, we would love to hear from you.

Duties

Prepare and serve food and beverages according to established recipes and standards.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the café area, including tables, counters, and equipment.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times.
Assist customers with their orders, providing recommendations and answering queries as needed.
Manage time effectively to ensure prompt service during busy periods.
Perform basic maths calculations for order processing and inventory management.
Collaborate with team members to create a positive working environment and enhance customer satisfaction.

Requirements

Previous experience in food preparation or a similar role is preferred but not essential.
Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a busy setting.
Knowledge of food safety practices is an advantage.
Basic maths skills for handling transactions and inventory counts.
Excellent communication skills with a friendly disposition towards customers.
Ability to work well as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
