Overview

Join our dynamic team as a General Engineering Workshop Operative/Trainee and become a vital part of our manufacturing and fabrication operations. This paid role offers an exciting opportunity to develop hands-on skills in workshop processes, learn about fabrication techniques, and gain practical experience working with a variety of tools and machinery. Whether you’re starting your career or looking to expand your mechanical knowledge, this position provides a lively environment where you can grow your expertise and contribute to high-quality production. National Minimum Wage rates apply

Responsibilities

Assist with the fabrication and assembly of components using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
Perform grinding and finishing tasks to ensure parts meet quality standards
Maintain a clean and organized workshop environment, including proper storage of tooling and materials
Follow safety procedures diligently during all workshop activities, including welding and grinding tasks

Experience

Basic mechanical knowledge or interest in fabrication, assembly, or engineering environments
Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and basic math skills for measurements and calculations
Previous warehouse or manufacturing experience is advantageous but not required; training will be provided
Exposure to welding, grinding, or tooling operations is a plus
Ability to follow detailed instructions and work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Willingness to learn new skills related to fabrication, assembly, and workshop safety protocols
