Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Tekla Detailer / Tekla Designer specialising in Material Handling to join our dynamic engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating detailed and accurate 3D models and drawings for complex structural components, ensuring seamless integration with construction and fabrication processes. Responsibilities
- Develop precise 3D models and detailed drawings using Tekla Structures for material handling systems.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and project managers to interpret design specifications and translate them into detailed schematics.
- Utilise software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino (Rhinoceros 3D), Grasshopper 3D, SketchUp, ArchiCAD, MicroStation, and SolidWorks to support design processes.
- Prepare comprehensive schematics and system designs that meet project requirements and industry standards.
- Ensure all models are optimised for fabrication, assembly, and installation purposes.
- Review project documentation to identify potential issues or clashes before manufacturing begins.
- Maintain organised records of all design revisions and updates throughout the project lifecycle.
- Assist in coordinating with fabrication teams to facilitate smooth transition from design to production.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Tekla Detailer or Tekla Designer within the material handling or construction sectors.
- Strong proficiency in Tekla Structures software with a solid understanding of structural detailing principles.
- Familiarity with CAD programmes including AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino (Rhinoceros 3D), Grasshopper 3D, SketchUp, ArchiCAD, MicroStation, and SolidWorks is highly desirable.
- Experience in system design, schematic development, and technical drawing preparation for construction projects.
- Knowledge of construction processes and experience working on large-scale industrial or infrastructure projects is advantageous.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics accurately while adhering to safety standards and industry regulations.
