An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our team as a Excavator Operator within our Remediation division.
Salary: Up to £32,000 (dependant on experience)
About the role
The Excavator Operator will be responsible for assisting the Site Manager (SM) in the on-site delivery of remediation and enabling works projects. The role will include operation of excavators.
Key responsibilities
The Machine Operator will work closely with the SM and CM on a daily basis, taking instruction and guidance as required to complete a variety of site based key tasks. There will include, but not be limited to:
- Excavator operation (up to 50T machine)
- Routine maintenance of plant equipment such as daily machine checks and providing completed forms to the site manager
- Reporting servicing requirements, defects, or maintenance issues of plant equipment to the site manager
- Expectation of working away from home to support project delivery
About you
- CPCS/NPORS qualified
- Industry standard qualified to work safely on site and with asbestos in soil (CAT B)
- Dump Truck operation (up to 30T), Roller operation (up to 18T), Bulldozer operation (up to D7) would be ideal but not essential for this role.
- CSCS card
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with external and internal contacts
- Able to work in a dynamic team environment
- Flexible approach to work and location
- Able to take instruction and follow through with actions in a considered and accurate manner
- Presents a professional image at all times
- Full driving license
