The Trafford and Stockport College Group (TSCG) has an opportunity for an experienced Lecturer for the Pre-Supported Internship Programmes to join the Progression Curriculum – Choices team to help us achieve our vision of unlocking potential for successful futures.
Job Purpose:
- To plan, deliver and assess high-quality teaching and learning for learners with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) enrolled on Pre-Supported Internship programmes.
The post holder will support the development of an inclusive curriculum that prepares learners for supported internships, employment, independent living, and positive progression outcomes.
The role includes responsibility for coordinating Pre-Supported Internship provision.
The role includes coordinating programme delivery, working collaboratively with employers and external agencies and monitoring learner progress.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Deliver high quality, inclusive teaching that meets the diverse needs of earners with SEND

Plan and implement engaging learning activities that develop employability, vocational, personal and social development.

Differentiate learning activities to ensure accessibility and challenge for learners.

Embed English mathematics, digital, communication and employability skills within the curriculum.

Assess learner progress regularly and provide timely, constructive feedback.

Maintain accurate records of learner progress, achievement, attendance and engagement.
Pre-Supported Internship Programme Responsibility
- Coordinate the day-to-day delivery of the Pre-Supported Internship programme

Support learners in developing the skills, knowledge and behaviours required for successful progression into Supported Internships and employment.

Work closely with the Job Coach, Careers Advisers, employers and Learning Facilitators to support learner progression.

Support learners to identify career aspirations and progression opportunities.

Monitor and review learner targets and outcomes, ensuring progress is regularly evaluated and recorded.
This role will require you to deliver high quality, learner-focused education providing a quality learning experience for our students. You will be required to develop the curriculum and implement teaching and learning strategies that enable our students to succeed and thrive in their chosen subject area.

- You will need to be conversant and comfortable in the use of computer systems with particular focus on Microsoft software systems and applications.
- You will be a strong team player who can communicate well with others, demonstrate respect for and be supportive towards your peers, and be comfortable in a very exciting and busy working environment. You will have a strong, resilient character with a “can-do” approach to challenges.
