The business also operates Collection Cover, a digital insurance platform designed specifically for collectors, allowing clients to arrange and manage cover for watches, jewellery, handbags, art, trading cards, memorabilia, and other collectables online.
Role Description
We are seeking a Junior Insurance Broker to join our team in Reading. This is a full-time, office-based position that provides an opportunity to develop a career within a specialist insurance brokerage.
The role involves supporting clients throughout the insurance process, from initial enquiries and quotations through to policy placement and ongoing account management. You will work closely with insurers, underwriters, and clients to help arrange suitable insurance cover and ensure a high standard of service is maintained.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting with the preparation of insurance quotations and renewals.
- Communicating with clients to understand their insurance requirements.
- Liaising with insurers and underwriters regarding policy terms and pricing.
- Managing client documentation and maintaining accurate records.
- Supporting the administration and servicing of existing client accounts.
- Handling client queries and providing assistance throughout the policy lifecycle.
- Building and maintaining professional relationships with clients and insurer partners.
- Ensuring all work is completed accurately and in line with FCA regulatory requirements.
The role will also involve supporting Collection Cover by assisting prospective and existing customers with enquiries, helping them navigate the online quote process, and ensuring they receive a professional and efficient service experience.
This position offers exposure to a broad range of insurance classes and provides the opportunity to develop technical insurance knowledge while working alongside experienced brokers.
Qualifications

- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise workload effectively.
- Confidence speaking with clients over the phone and by email.
- Strong administrative and problem-solving abilities.
- Comfortable learning new systems and processes.
- Previous experience in insurance, financial services, sales, or customer service is beneficial but not essential.
- A degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field is advantageous but not required.
What We Are Looking For
We are looking for an individual who is professional, motivated, and eager to develop within the insurance industry. The successful candidate will be comfortable working in a client-facing environment, willing to learn, and capable of taking ownership of their responsibilities as their experience grows.
Salary
£25,000–£28,000 per annum, depending on experience.
Pay: £25,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
