We are looking for a strategic manager to work as part of the Student Wellbeing Services providing strategic leadership for the Disability Advisory Service. They will be responsible for leading the University’s response to inclusive practice and will report to the Director of Student Wellbeing Services. The manager will form part of the student wellbeing leadership team along with the Head of Counselling & wellbeing, the Student Welfare Team Manager and the Residential Support & Discipline Manager.

The postholder will be required to develop and co-ordinate strategy, influence policy and practice change and drive university-wide initiatives to tackle emerging issues and challenges. The Head of Disability and Inclusion will be accountable for ensuring that the University meets both internal and external requirements and for the delivery of business-critical operations.

The successful candidate will have :

Excellent leadership & influencing skills.
Excellent communication skills.
High levels of experience managing a service.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent organisation skills
Knowledge and understanding of the challenges experienced by disabled students in an educational context as well as approaches to mitigating those challenges.
