Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounts Assistant to join our finance team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within a dynamic environment, supporting the organisation’s financial operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with various accounting tasks, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial data management. Prior experience with recognised accounting software and systems is highly desirable. This position is paid and suitable for individuals looking to enhance their career in financial services.

Responsibilities

Assist with accounts payable processes, including invoice processing and vendor payments
Input and maintain accurate financial data using accounting software such as Sage
Support data entry tasks related to financial transactions and record keeping
Reconcile accounts and prepare reports as required
Utilise systems like Workday, QuickBooks, or other recognised platforms to ensure seamless financial operations
Collaborate with the finance team to ensure timely processing of transactions
Maintain organised records of all financial documents and correspondence
Support month-end and year-end closing activities as needed

Experience

Previous experience working with accounting software such as Sage
Familiarity with accounts payable processes and data entry tasks within a financial services environment
Knowledge of systems like Workday or similar enterprise resource planning (ERP) platforms is advantageous
Strong organisational skills with a high level of accuracy in data entry and record keeping
Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities are essential for success in this role

Pay: £13.00-£15.00 per hour
