Reporting to the Technical Manager, you will be part of the team responsible for the following:

Day to day monitoring and supervision of existing technical systems
Ensuring customer specifications and statutory regulations are met
Liaising with the production teams to achieve the highest possible standards of product quality, safety and hygiene.
Liaising with auditors from customers and other regulatory bodies and ensuring that corrective action is implemented and maintained
External audit preparation
Implementing and coordinating the internal auditing programme.
Maintaining supplier approval documentation and liaising with customers and supplier where necessary
Any other duties as requested by management and conducive to the effective operation of the post.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

Third level qualification in a food related discipline or a minimum of 5 years’ experience in quality assurance, food safety or technical supervisor role food safety or technical supervisor role
Excellent communication skills
Evidence of good planning, organisational and time management skills
Ability to work as part of a cohesive team
Some flexibility in relation to hours depending on business needs

DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS
