Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organised Accounts/Office Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, implementing & maintaining office systems and ensuring statutory returns are completed on time. This role requires proficiency in accounting software and a strong understanding of bookkeeping principles.
Responsibilities
· Maintain accurate sales/purchase/ nominal ledgers using accounting software
· Reconcile bank statements and manage cash flow effectively.
· Payroll processing/Pension & PAYE returns and recording of journals on accounting software.
· Keep accurate stock records of vehicles and record monthly stock valuation in accounting software.
· Complete all Intrastat/EC Sales/VAT/ NOVA/Trader Support/Business Surveys in a timely manner and ensure all paperwork is filed correctly and is easily accessible.
· Organise financing options for customers if required.
· Audit ledgers in the preparation of year-end financial statements and liaise with external accountant to complete year end journals in a timely manner.
· Respond to enquiries, send our parcels, organise paperwork for machinery shows and provide excellent customer service.
· Updating of social media accounts & website.
· Introduce new systems to maximise all business opportunities and any other duties as required by Director.
Requirements
· Proven 5 yrs + experience as an Accounts Administrator/Bookkeeper or in a similar role, with the ability of implementing new accounts systems.
· Proficiency in accounting software (Cloud or Desktop) is essential, Sage/Xero, must be able to adapt quickly and be self-reliant.
· Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles, with a relevant qualification, but not mandatory
· Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
· Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
· Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
· Experience of business social media, wix website, human resources, HASAW, would be beneficial, but not essential.
We are looking for a dynamic strong individual, who can take the lead in organising, establishing and maintaining accurate accounts. Must be able to work on own initiative and implement new office systems to organise a busy Agri Machinery Business.
Job Type: Part-time (Flexible) around 10-15hrs per week (may suit self employed person)
Pay: £14-£18 per hr (dependent on experience)
